Mason Jar
Just wanted to write a post on how useful Mason Jars are π
Lately I have been saving all the jars from my coconut oil and almond butter for my chia seed puddings. With the quarter winding down and being in the midst of packing to move back home I have been extra busy, so on the go snacks are the best.
In the mornings if I am in a rush I just grab one of my jars of chia seed pudding, put a little honey in it, and then I am out the door.
+ the beauty of this quick snack is that it keeps me feeling “full” for hours, due to all the fiber in it. Apples are similar in this way, they are very fibrous, a great way to curb food hunger. Chia seeds are also full of Omega-3s!
To make chia seed pudding simply add 3 tablespoons of chia seeds into jar with 1 cup coconut milk. I like mine to be extra “gummy” from all the expanded seeds so I usually add a bit more chia seeds. Shake seeds and milk in jar and let sit for at least 30 min, or when you see the seeds have expanded.
Save your jars!!! π
First of all, Happy Birthday beautiful Madeleine!! Hope your day is awesome! We will celebrate once you are settled up here!
What kind of coconut milk do you recommend (boxed or ?)
thank you Sheila! I had a great day! You can make your own (takes a while though) or I also get unsweetened coconut milk from Whole Foods in the milk section. Will be home soon! Can’t wait to see you! xoxoo
